Free Dust and Hairs Texture Pack
Free Dust and Hairs Texture Pack
The real world is full of imperfections. So if we wish to make our 3D renders more realistic and believable, we have to create these imperfections in our scenes as well. And this is where this Dust and Hairs Texture Pack comes in handy.
You can use this Texture Pack to add some Lens Dirt to your virtual camera. Or use it as an opacity map for dirt on objects.
In Blender (or any other 3D program) you can place a plane with an alpha/transparent shader and an emission shader in front of your camera. Or you can combine the emission shader with a translucency shader for more responsiveness on incoming light. You can place the plane out of focus to create interesting bokehs, or in focus for visible dust particles in the atmosphere. In short, be creative with these textures!
In this pack you’ll get 7 unique Dust and Hairs Textures. Besides, I’ve added a .blend file with all the shaders set up for you. So no more hassle setting them up.
I made this pack by photographing my induction cooktop (I know, not what you expected). The particles you see are basically spice powders, hairs and dried up water particles.
The images are around 4000 x 3000px in PNG 8-Bit Grayscale format. So no ugly JPEG artifacts in these images!
So if you don’t have the time to take photos of your own induction cooktop, you can download them here for free.

Free Pinus Sylvestris Bark 3D Scan
I made this high quality Pinus sylvestris bark model for free. The model is retopologized and has 12K (baked) textures to create a good looking asset, even when making extreme close-up renders.
